６月１日に小岩菖蒲園を訪れてきました。
小岩菖蒲園まつりの初日でした。
菖蒲の花は満開という感じではありませんでしたが多くが咲いており鮮やかでした。
高齢者の憩いの場所のようで、車椅子に乗った方も大勢おられます。近所の
施設から散歩に出されたのでしょう。
もう3度目の撮影だと思いますが
小さな菖蒲園であるものの、手入れが行き届いており（いつも感心させられますが）
大変見栄えのする菖蒲園です。
土手沿いのほぼ、京成線の高架の下にあるというロケーションも
いかにも下町らしい雰囲気を醸し出しており、大変絵になる場所です。

I visited Koiwa Shobu-en(Iris garden) on June 1st.
This was the first day of festival in Koiwa Shobu-en.
In this garden,lots of iris are planted and now we can see flowers of them.
This little garden is situated in a part of strip of flat ground along the river Edogawa,
one of most famous river runs through Tokyo and Kanto plain.

As you see in this movie,this place is used for a rest by old people
and some of them have become disable and they were taken care being sit
in the wheelchairs.

The areas in a strip along long and large rivers are often used as spaces for the public
like this garden over Japan.
Near this garden, there are stadiums for baseball and long ways for joggers.
These are most typical scenes in Tokyo suburbs.
